Aftercare

Here are some general aftercare instructions for microblading:

For the first 7 days:

• Keep the area clean and dry: Avoid getting the area wet, including during showers. Use a gentle cleanser to wash your face, avoiding the brow area.
• Apply aftercare ointment: Use a thin layer of aftercare ointment provided by your technician, following their specific instructions.  
• Avoid picking or scratching: Resist the urge to pick at scabs or scratch the area, as this can cause scarring or uneven fading.  
• Avoid direct sunlight: Protect the area from direct sunlight to prevent fading.  
• Avoid makeup: Refrain from applying makeup on the brow area.  
• Avoid sweating: Limit activities that cause excessive sweating, such as exercise or saunas.  

After 7 days:

• Moisturize: Continue to moisturize the area with a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer.
• Protect from sun: Use sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher to protect the area from sun damage.  
• Avoid harsh products: Avoid using harsh skincare products or exfoliants on the brow area.  

Days 1-3: Immediately after the procedure, your lips may feel dry, chapped, tight, and tender to the touch, with possible swelling and bright coloring.

For the first 4 hours post-treatment, gently press a clean paper towel against your lips to remove any lymph. After this time, begin applying ointment (such as Aquaphor) as needed to keep your lips constantly moisturized.

Avoid kissing, rubbing, or any friction on the treated area.

Days 1-3: Apply ointment to your lips several times a day to maintain moisture. Refrain from consuming oily, spicy, or heavily seasoned foods, and use a straw when drinking. After each meal, delicately rinse and clean your lips with water, pat dry, and reapply ointment.

Days 4-7: During this period, your lips will start and complete the peeling process, with the color lightening by 30%-50%. Allow the peeling to occur naturally without picking or rubbing your lips. Remember to continue keeping your lips moisturized. 

Additional tips:

• Follow your technician’s instructions: Your technician will provide specific aftercare instructions tailored to your individual needs.
• Be patient: The healing process takes time, and the final results may not be visible for several weeks.  

Schedule a touch-up: A touch-up appointment is usually recommended 4-6 weeks after the initial procedure to address any areas that may need additional pigment.
