FAQs

Frequently Asked
Questions

Can hair grow after micropigmentation?

Yes, hair can grow after micropigmentation. Micropigmentation serves as a supportive therapy for hair growth, aiding in camouflaging hair density while promoting blood circulation, which encourages hair growth. Stress is often a significant factor in hair loss. For those experiencing stress due to hair loss concerns, micropigmentation is strongly recommended, particularly for individuals with hair thinning and reduced hair density, as it can boost overall confidence, self-esteem, and personality.

Is it painful? What's the process like?

The level of discomfort during micropigmentation depends on individual pain tolerance. Before the procedure, a topical numbing agent is applied to the scalp to minimize discomfort. However, some discomfort may still be experienced during the process.

Is scalp micropigmentation worth it?

Scalp micropigmentation is considered the most effective solution, especially if a hair transplant fails to achieve the desired hair density. It is a worthwhile investment as a safe and effective solution for those dealing with reduced hair density. For individuals undergoing medical treatment for hair loss, scalp micropigmentation is advisable to camouflage reduced density until the treatment is complete.

Learn More About Scalp Micropigmentation

For the initial 5 days post-treatment, it's advisable to steer clear of the following:intense sweating: refrain from engaging in vigorous exercise to prevent excessive sweating, which may impede the healing process. Scrubbing and shampooing: avoid scrubbing the scalp as it may cause skin breakage and avoid shampooing to prevent exposure to harsh chemicals. Shaving: do not shave or irritate the treated area while it's in the healing phase. Prolonged sun exposure: avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight as uv rays can lead to sunburn and premature fading of the scalp pigmentation. Touching with hands: minimize touching your scalp with your hands to reduce the risk of introducing bacteria and potential infection. Between days 5 to 10, your scalp should be noticeably improved and in the process of healing. However, it's still crucial to maintain your aftercare regimen during this period. Here are some precautions to continue for the next 5 days:avoid scratching the scalp: similar to tattoos, your scalp may experience peeling skin during this phase. Refrain from scratching or picking at any scabs that may form.Skip shampooing or exfoliating: to support the formation of new skin layers, avoid using shampoo or exfoliants during the healing process.Steer clear of self-tanners or skin irritants: while your scalp is still healing, avoid using any products that could potentially cause inflammation or disrupt the healing progress. After 10 days, your scalp should be sufficiently healed to resume your regular routine. Depending on your healing progress, your next treatment session may be scheduled around this time. However, the timing of your next session will be determined by your healing progress thus far.
