Chemical Peel Treatment at URSA Skin & Aesthetics
Chemical peels are powerful skin treatments that remove the outermost layers of dead skin using carefully selected chemical solutions. This helps reveal fresh, healthy, youthful-looking skin underneath. Based on your needs, URSA offers different strengths of peels—from superficial to deep—each targeting specific skin concerns like acne, pigmentation, wrinkles, and dull texture. Our trained professionals ensure the procedure is customized to your skin type, for safe and effective results.
Types of Chemical Peels
Superficial Peels gently exfoliate the outermost layer and treat minor issues like dullness and uneven tone.
Medium Peels go deeper to address moderate acne scars, pigment spots, and fine lines.
Deep Peels work at the dermal level and are used for severe wrinkles, sun damage, or deep pigmentation.
Why Choose Professional Chemical Peels?
While DIY peels are available, professional treatments are tailored to your skin type and condition. At URSA Skin & Aesthetics, expert dermatologists assess your skin and customize the peel’s depth, ingredients, and frequency for safe, effective, and lasting results. Always consult a specialist to avoid complications such as burns, infections, or hyperpigmentation—especially for deeper peels or sensitive skin types.
OUR PROCESS
Chemical Peel Treatment Process
01.
Skin Preparation
Your skin is thoroughly cleansed to remove any oils, dirt, or makeup before the treatment begins.
02.
Application of Chemical Solution
A chemical like salicylic acid, glycolic acid, trichloroacetic acid, or phenol is gently applied using a cotton ball, gauze pad, or applicator depending on the type of peel.
03.
Reaction Phase
You may experience a stinging or tingling sensation. For medium peels, the skin may temporarily turn white or blue. In deep peels, the skin may turn white or gray.
04.
Neutralization and Cooling
The solution is either removed or neutralized, and cold compresses are applied to soothe the skin and reduce discomfort.
05.
Post-Care Instructions
You may have mild redness, peeling, or dryness for a few days. Avoid sun exposure for 2–3 days and follow the aftercare as advised.

BENEFITS
How it works
01. Radiant Skin Rejuvenation:
By removing dead and damaged outer layers, chemical peels reveal a brighter, glowing complexion.
02. Acne & Scar Control:
Peels unclog pores, reduce oil, and fade post-acne marks, helping to smoothen skin texture.
03. Pigmentation Reduction:
They break down excess melanin and lighten sun spots, melasma, and age spots for an even skin tone.
04. Fine Line & Wrinkle Reduction:
Peels promote collagen production, improving elasticity and reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.
05. Better Absorption of Products:
With the top layer exfoliated, your skincare products penetrate deeper and work more effectively.

FAQs
Frequently Asked
Questions
WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF UNDERGOING A CHEMICAL PEEL TREATMENT?
Medi-aesthetic chemical peels offer numerous benefits including improvement in pigmentation, sun damage, fine lines, wrinkles, pore size, congestion, and breakouts.
IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME ASSOCIATED WITH CHEMICAL PEEL TREATMENT?
The downtime and aftercare requirements can vary depending on the type of Peel used:
Enzyme, Exfoliating, Pigment, and Anti-Ageing peels may result in mild erythema and flaking lasting 1-3 days.
Acne peels may lead to moderate erythema and flaking lasting 1-7 days.
Resurfacing peels may cause moderate to strong erythema and flaking lasting 1-14 days.
CAN I APPLY MAKEUP AFTER UNDERGOING A CHEMICAL PEEL TREATMENT?
Following your face peel, it’s crucial to diligently follow your dermal technician’s post-care instructions. Avoid heavy makeup and skin-irritating ingredients like retinol. If makeup is necessary, opt for a mineral powder that won’t block pores and ensure your makeup applicators are thoroughly clean to prevent bacteria buildup.

Aftercare:
Immediate Post-Peel:
- Avoid touching: Refrain from touching your face for at least a few hours to allow the products to absorb.
- No makeup: Do not apply makeup for at least 24 hours.
- Gentle cleansing: Use a mild, fragrance-free cleanser to gently cleanse your face.
- Sun protection: Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher daily.
General Aftercare:
- Hydration: Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated.
- Avoid irritants: Avoid using harsh products, such as exfoliants, scrubs, or toners.
- Limit sun exposure: Minimize sun exposure and avoid direct sunlight for at least a week.
- Protect from heat: Avoid excessive heat exposure, such as saunas, steam rooms, or hot showers, for the first 24 hours.
- Follow your provider’s instructions: Your provider may have specific recommendations based on the type of peel you received and your skin type.
- Wash your face with cool water
- Don’t over-exfoliate until your skin feels back to normal, that usually takes 7-10 days.
Additional Tips:
- Calm any redness: If you experience redness, you can apply a soothing mask or cold compress to calm the skin.
- Manage peeling: If your skin peels, gently exfoliate with a soft washcloth or exfoliating cleanser after a few days.
- Monitor for sensitivity: If you experience any unusual sensitivity or irritation, contact our top dermatologists.
Remember:
Consistent aftercare is crucial for maintaining the results of your chemical peel. Following these guidelines will help your skin heal properly and achieve a radiant, healthy glow.
