HOW MANY SESSIONS ARE RECOMMENDED FOR OPTIMAL RESULTS?
While noticeable improvements can often be seen after just 1 or 2 sessions, we generally advise undergoing a series of 3 to 4 sessions. These sessions are typically spaced out every 2 to 4 weeks. Following the recommended treatment plan, results can last for up to 9 months or even longer with proper maintenance.
WHO SHOULD AVOID THE BB GLOW FACIAL TREATMENT?
It’s best to avoid the BB Glow facial if you:
Are pregnant or nursing
Have skin cancer, skin disease, active infections, or open wounds
Are currently taking Accutane
Have allergies to any of the ingredients used in the treatment
Have received injectable fillers within the past 2 weeks
Are taking blood thinners
Prior to your treatment, you’ll be advised to discontinue the use of Retin-A, Retinol, and Vitamin A products for 3 to 5 days. These products can potentially irritate the deeper layers of your skin, so it’s essential to avoid them before your BB Glow facial.
Aftercare
Here are some general aftercare instructions for BB Glow:
For the first 24 hours:
- Avoid washing your face: Keep the treated area dry to prevent irritation.
- No makeup: Refrain from applying any makeup on the treated area.
- Avoid touching your face: This can transfer bacteria and lead to infection.
For the next few days:
- Gentle cleansing: Use a gentle, fragrance-free cleanser to wash your face, avoiding scrubbing the treated area.
- Moisturize: Apply a fragrance-free moisturizer to keep your skin hydrated.
- Avoid sun exposure: Protect your skin from the sun by wearing sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher.
- Steer clear of scented skincare products.
- Avoid harsh products: Refrain from using any harsh skincare products, such as exfoliants or toners, on the treated area.
- Avoid heat and humidity: Avoid saunas, steam rooms, and hot showers for a few days.
- Avoid strenuous activity: Avoid activities that cause excessive sweating.
- Opt for room temperature water during bathing and showering, and use a hairdryer on medium to low heat settings.
- Avoid consuming spicy food and seafood for 3 days.
- Refrain from using retinol products and vitamin C for 8 weeks.
