Cosmelan Depigmentation is ideal for individuals with pigmentation issues, sun damage, particularly Melasma. It effectively addresses:
Pigmentation and uneven skin tones
Melasma
Dull, lackluster skin
Sun damage
Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation
What Is The Downtime?
The Cosmelan Depigmentation Procedure involves intensive resurfacing with downtime lasting approximately 10-12 days. Initially, the skin may appear red, swollen, and warm for the first 3 days, followed by peeling and dryness for up to 7-10 days. Sun exposure should be avoided during downtime, and SPF is essential to protect the skin and maintain results. All necessary post-care products are included in the treatment price to expedite healing.
Are There Any Side Effects?
Side effects with Cosmelan treatments are rare and easily managed. Some redness and minor dryness may occur after mask removal. Any discomfort can be alleviated by using a gentle moisturizer like Hydra-Vital Factor K, provided in the post-treatment homecare pack. It's recommended to avoid direct sun exposure and wear SPF30 daily before, during, and after treatment.
When Will I See Results?
Visible results are typically noticeable after one Cosmelan treatment, ranging from 2 weeks to 4-8 weeks post-treatment, depending on individual skin conditions and concerns. Ongoing maintenance is necessary due to both external and internal factors.
AfterCare
Day 1: Intensive Depigmentation - 8-12 hrs
After the duration specified by the clinic (between 8 -12 hours), carefully rinse off the mask with water. Repeat until the product is fully removed. 24-48 hours post-mask removal, the skin may feel sensitive, tight, and appear red. Apply Melan Recovery over the treated area for soothing relief.Day 2: Ongoing Depigmentation - 1 day
After cleansing, apply Melan Recovery, followed by Melan 130+ Pigment Control. If exposed to continuous sunlight, reapply sunscreen every 2 hours for optimal protection.Month 1: Hyperpigmentation Management - 1 month
From Day 3-7 (depending on skin sensitivity), apply Cosmelan 2 twice daily (morning and night), followed by Melan Recovery 15 minutes later. During the day, use Melan 130+ Pigment Control. If exposed to continuous sunlight, reapply sunscreen every 2 hours. During this phase, itching, burning, dryness, and tightness may be experienced. Skin may become irritated, sensitized, and begin to peel.Month 2-6: Managing Reappearance
At night, apply Cosmelan 2 followed by Melan Recovery 15 minutes later. Use Melan 130+ Pigment Control every morning. During this phase, you'll observe restored hydration levels in the skin, stabilization, and a renewed, even complexion.
Learn More About Cosmelan
Cosmelan procedure is a multi-ingredient chemical Peel that reduces visible pigmentation on the skin. A special skincare regime needs to be followed for three months’ post-treatment to reduce pigmentation. This procedure is one of the most effective skin-lightening therapies available in comparison to other pigmentation treatments on the market. The peel must remain on the skin for several hours, which will require some careful scheduling from the patient as nothing can be applied to the skin once the peel is on. 2-3 days later, there will be some flaking or shedding. The Cosmelan Treatment ProcedureThe cosmelan peel is a four-stage treatment procedure. The first step which is an intense depigmentation treatment is performed in the clinic and the other steps can be done at home. In our clinic, an experienced professional will first clean your face and then gently apply the mask on it. We will provide you with an after-treatment kit and instruct you how to remove the peel at home when it is time. You should use a gentle cleanser and plenty of water to remove the mask completely and then apply any cream the dermatologist has suggested. You need to use the cream a couple of times a day for at least two weeks.Unveiling the Benefits of Cosmelan Depigmentation TreatmentCosmelan Depigmentation Treatment offers wonderful benefits for individuals struggling with hyperpigmentation and skin problems.CONTACT US
